Sieg Coronel

L3 Limited Licensed Attorney

Sieg Coronel did not take the conventional path to criminal defense. He took the longer, harder one, and it made him a better advocate for it.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Sieg grew up in a country where due process is not always a given. That reality shaped him. He came to the United States carrying a deep respect for the constitutional protections that many Americans take for granted, and that respect has driven every professional decision he has made since. For Sieg, defending someone’s rights is not an abstract exercise. It is personal.

Sieg earned his undergraduate degree from BYU Hawaii, where he studied Supply Chain Management and Human Resources Management. He followed that with an MBA from Weber State University and spent years building a career in corporate operations. He was successful, but something was missing. A mentorship during his business studies planted the seed, and a formative internship at Kirton McConkie brought it to life. Working as a litigation paralegal, Sieg discovered what he had been looking for: the ability to solve complex problems under pressure and, more importantly, the opportunity to directly impact another person’s peace of mind.

He is currently completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Idaho College of Law, Boise campus, while serving clients as an L3 Limited Licensed Attorney at John Malek Law Group.

People Are the Language of Law

Sieg operates on a simple principle: people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. That is not a slogan on his wall. It is how he practices. Every client who walks through his door is a person with a family, a future, and a story that matters. Sieg listens before he advises, and he builds every case around the individual, not the charge sheet.

Among the firm’s core values, Integrity stands at the center of how Sieg works. He believes a lawyer’s reputation is their most important currency, and he holds himself to standards that reflect not just on the firm but on his family. He is the kind of person who earns trust the old-fashioned way: by showing up, doing the work, and never cutting corners.

Life in Idaho

After living in Manila, Hawaii, and Utah, Sieg has called Boise home since 2023. He was drawn to Idaho for its people, its outdoor access to places like Yellowstone, and because it is where he met his wife and chose to build his life. Sieg brings the same energy to his community that he brings to his casework: genuine, relentless, and grounded in a belief that showing up matters.
